Austin Course Defensive DrivingA 2004 study was carried out by the World Health Organization into road accidents, and it was found that around 40 million people are injured in this way every year. Whatever they are called – whether it be auto accidents, traffic collisions, vehicle crashes or motor vehicle accidents – they are one of the biggest health risks across the globe. As a result of this, some governments have now introduced compulsory driving courses, such as the Austin course defensive driving that was introduced by the Texas government in the US. Austin course defensive driving is required for any driver located in Austin who has been part of a traffic accident or who has been given a ticket for some other driving related infringement. Defensive driving courses, also known as Driver Safety Courses (DSC), are a requirement for a ticket to be dismissed. Likewise, for people who have violated the code of the road whilst driving a motorcycle, they are required to take a Motorcycle Operators Training Course, or MOTC. An Austin course defensive driving dismisses a ticket, but the course can only be undertaken once a year for this purpose. A request for driving training can be made either through the post or in person, and has to be made by the person who has committed the violation. To be granted permission to undertake an Austin course defensive driving to have a ticket dismissed, a certain set of requirements must be adhered to. Several things must be submitted which are: a signature on the proclamation form, proof of a valid Texas Driving License, as well as an administrative fee for the court, which is $120 or $95, depending whether you have sped in a school zone or committed another road crime. A proof of valid insurance is also required for submission – this can be a copy of an insurance policy paper, a self-assurance certificate, or an insurance card. If all these requirements are fulfilled without any problems, then the driver in question will be automatically granted with his request to take part in an Austin course defensive driving. Once granted permission, the driver has ninety days in which he has to complete his Austin course defensive driving. Before the ninetieth day is up, the driver should have submitted proof that the Austin course defensive driving was attained, and this should be added to his driving record, which can be purchased from the Texas Department of Public Safety for ten dollars. If the ninety days pass, and the driver has not completed an Austin course defensive driving, or not submitted proof of this, then the driver can, and will, be summoned to court to appear in a hearing before a judge. |
